About Bridge Books

Ruth Chasek is an English and special education teacher with a background in book publishing.  Her career has been devoted to promoting literacy, and comfort and fluency in reading and writing through direct student instruction and development of age and ability appropriate reading materials. Bridge Books was inspired by her students, mainly adolescent English Language Learners, and the need to provide them with engaging, relevant texts.
